Masquerade Judge: Leah Lux
Leah is a Chicago-based cosplayer & streamer that has been attending conventions since 2006. Her favorite series that she has cosplayed from are Bioshock, Sailor Moon, League of Legends, Genshin Impact- just to name a few! Her favorite part of making cosplays would be creating armor builds and emphasizing small details to costumes that seem specific to the character and their environment (embroidery, beading, stones). Cosplay has changed immensely in the 15+ years Leah has been costuming, but the innovations are what’s so interesting to her. She loves seeing how cosplay can unite a diverse crowd together, but also the creativity that people explore with their costumes and props, especially when limited resources are involved. She’s looking forward to continue making new friends and be a listening ear for any cosplay or con advice needed!
