AMKE Cosplay Studio
The Anime Milwaukee Cosplay Studio, presented by CUT/SEW, is a weekend-long educational space dedicated to hands-on cosplay learning. This specialized programming track includes a full schedule of workshops, classes, and lectures designed to help attendees expand their crafting skills across a wide range of disciplines.
The Cosplay Studio spans two dedicated classrooms, each outfitted for a specific type of making:
A machine sewing room, fully stocked with bernette B05 Academy sewing machines for sewing-focused classes
A craft and prop room equipped with foam, resin, heat guns, and more.
All Workshops Include:
All supplies and materials needed to complete a take-home project
Hands-on instruction from experienced makers and working professionals
Small class sizes to ensure one-on-one help and support
A focus on approachable, beginner-friendly techniques — with room to level up!
Workshops require a small materials fee and advance registration, with limited seating available for each session.
Crafter Party
Crafter Party is CUT/SEW’s signature late-night event — a relaxed, welcoming space for attendees to wind down, make something fun, and connect with fellow cosplayers and crafters of all disciplines. Guests can drop in anytime throughout the night, shop pre-made craft kits, and try their hand at cozy, beginner-friendly projects at their own pace.
It's a laid-back, no-pressure alternative to the usual after-hours con scene — whether you're stitching with friends, chatting with instructors, or just enjoying the creative vibe.
This year’s Crafter Party will also feature our Makers Market — a freecycle-style fabric and materials swap where attendees can take what they need and leave what they don’t. It’s a great way to clear out your stash, score fresh supplies, or just try something new without spending a dime.
With major fabric stores closing their doors, the Makers Market is a perfect chance to grab fabric, trims, and cosplay materials you might not have easy access to anymore — and put them to use in a low-pressure, creative space.
Crafter Party Hours and Location:
Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th
8:30 pm - Midnight

All workshops are paid courses and require pre-registering and purchasing a ticket. Tickets can be purchased on the CUT/SEW website up until the day of the class, but please note that class sizes are small and hands-on so classes often do sell out. Purchasing your ticket ahead of time is the best way to ensure a seat in the class of your choice.
