Ready to take your crafting to the next level?
Join us this year at Anime Milwaukee for our Cosplay Studio, a series of hands-on workshops meant to grow your skills in sewing, foam work, beading, 3D printing, dyeing, and much more. Each workshop is a crafting intensive taught by industry professionals like Cowbutt Crunchies, Aissac.Cos, and PlexiCosplay, and students will join us in our fully stocked classrooms to sew, style, and make finished projects with the goal of enriching your cosplay talents. All classes are ticketed and require pre-registration, with only a small amount of tickets available for each class to keep the courses intimate and hands-on, so grab your tickets today!
What is Being Offered:
The AMKE Cosplay Studio presented by CUT/SEW offers classes, demos, and lectures meant to improve your cosplay skills through hands-on making. The Cosplay Studio area includes two panel rooms for classes – one fully stocked with Bernette sewing machines for sewing courses, and one equipped with foam, heat guns, resin, dye baths, and more for crafting workshops.
Each class includes all materials and supplies to complete a project and offers valuable insights and one-on-one time with experts in their field. All workshops include a small fee for materials and take-home projects, and class sizes are small so all attendees will get personalized, hands-on help. Most classes are beginner-friendly and all are welcome to join!
Bernette USA is also offering machine specials all weekend in the Dealer’s Hall and all sewing machines in the Cosplay Studio will be available for purchase.
What You Can Learn:
Soldering, beading, foam armor, sewing for beginners, LEDs, hand sewing, how to sew difficult materials, cosplay makeup, and more.
Where the Classes Are Located:
AMKE Cosplay Studio - Sewing Space - N108B
AMKE Cosplay Studio - Maker Space - N108C
Where to Sign Up for Workshops:
All workshops are paid courses and require pre-registering and purchasing a ticket. Tickets can be purchased on the CUT/SEW website up until the day of the class, but please note that class sizes are small and hands-on so classes often do sell out. Purchasing your ticket ahead of time is the best way to ensure a seat in the class of your choice.
