Spring is just around the corner! Celebrate rainy skies or sunny shine at SpringFest, Anime Milwaukee’s Idol Festival, presented by Chu♡seibu Stage. Welcome an exciting variety of idol performances as the flowers begin to blossom in a symphony of magic and life. Grab your penlights and hop on down to this epic J-pop showcase event!
What is an Idol Fest?
An Idol Festival is a variety showcase event designed to spread love for J-pop idol culture. An Idol Fest can take place anywhere in the world, and not just at an anime convention. “Overseas” idols are inspired by J-pop to connect with their audience and “wotaku” (idol fans). Idol Fests and idols in the USA often expand and innovate on the J-pop genre by adding their own artistic flair!
Where do I sign up?
You can apply via the online form. SpringFest forms close on January 15th and applicants will hear back by January 18th. Please note that due to show length, not everyone who auditions will be accepted into the show.
Who can apply?
J-pop singers, dancers, cosplay idols, and original idols inspired by J-pop. No level of performance experience is required! Please view the audition form for details.
