Convention Safety Team

The Convention Safety Team exists to meet the safety, security and operational needs of Anime Milwaukee through the employment of qualified personnel and volunteers in order to prevent liability, property damage, illness and injury. We coordinate with the venue, local law enforcement, emergency medical services and the fire department to provide these services.

The Safety Team’s primary responsibilities are creating a welcoming and helpful environment for you, the attendees! We accomplish this through crowd control, line management, guidance, prop checks, and when necessary, emergency services.

Positions are available for all skill levels and experience, but you are required to be at least 18 years old. Ideal candidates have experience in customer service and a calm demeanor.

How to find AMKE Safety Staff

  1. Verbally report to any AMKE staffer you see!
Any staffer will be willing to listen to your concerns and make sure the information gets passed on to the appropriate department.

  2. Come to the Safety Office to talk directly with our Safety staff!
We are in the Baird Center and our room is used only by Safety staff. We can easily empty the room, have the staffer you speak with be of a preferred gender, and keep the space quiet. If you need privacy or a safe space to talk, this is a good place to go.

  3. Email Safety staff
This address is monitored both before/after and actively during the convention.

Anti-Harassment Reporting

Please report any incidents of harassment or concerns of safety at the convention by calling or texting (414) 301-1052 or emailing our safety staff.
