General FAQ

Yes, a wristband is needed to attend 18+ programming such as adult panels, Club AMKE, or Nocturnal Underground.
To obtain a wristband, visit Attendee Services during our open hours and present valid identification.
Please see our Wristband Policy for information on acceptable identification.
-
Panels that are adult panels will be indicated with an “18+” designation in Guidebook.
-
All activity and panel rooms have wheelchair spaces; smaller rooms have at least one such space, and larger rooms have multiple spaces. We also provide advanced seating and/or line assistance for those with disabilities and their companions at all main programming events. Please ask staffers in the area for available accommodations.
Main Programming FAQ
-
Only small, clear bags are allowed into Club AMKE and Nocturnal Underground. Only empty water bottles are allowed.
Bags and bottles are subject to search prior to entry.
-
Some events like concerts or night events may prohibit photography or videos. Please inquire with an Anime Milwaukee programming staff member prior to taking pictures/video.
Panelists FAQ
-
No. Stickers or items with an adhesive backing may not be used or distributed per convention center policy. The only exception is for badge ribbons, which are allowed.
-
Please do not touch anything! We have dedicated teams that are in charge of room set up. If you need something done or a certain set up please work with our paneling team by stating so on your application. For the safety of you, the venue, and the staff please don’t move anything.
-
No outside food or drinks are allowed in panel rooms. The convention center must cater any and all food in panel rooms and that’s pretty pricey. Panelists serving food will be banned from running panels in the future and may be subject to legal liability.
-
Once panel submissions close, it takes several weeks to review all panel submissions, schedule panels, and finalize information before Panel Programming sends out Acceptance, Waitlist, and Declined notifications. Panels will be scheduled around finalized Cosplay Meetups, Guest Panels, and Main Events to the best of the convention's ability. Check your spam or junk mail folder if you have not received an email by Mid-November.
Anime Milwaukee will also post a panel update on Facebook and Twitter/X during that time.
-
No, you must purchase your membership for this year. However, your membership gets reimbursed towards the next year. You must complete your panelist obligations in order to get the reimbursement. Each named panelist in an approved panel will receive one rollover badge for next year’s convention.
-
Only a maximum of 4 memberships per panel will be eligible for rollover.
-
While we love you for that, we cannot issue multiple rollover memberships to the same person or group of people.
-
We require legal names for our registration processing system. These names will not be used publicly. A separate question on the form will ask for panelist names to be used in our Guidebook (if applicable).
-
We understand that life happens and you will not always be able to make it out to Anime Milwaukee. If this is the case, please send an email to panels@animemilwaukee.org so that we can figure out the next steps.
-
Panel Applications are not first come first-served. We here at Anime Milwaukee want to do our best and provide a variety of content, so when submitting panels take your time, make sure they are unique and well thought out!
