Membership Terms and Conditions

By purchasing and accepting this membership, the membership holder (hereafter referred to as “you”) agrees to the following terms and conditions as established by the Anime and Culture Society (hereafter referred to as “ACS”):

Property of ACS

This membership remains the property of ACS and is required for entry into all ACS events. It must be displayed on your person at all times while in convention spaces and presented upon request by ACS personnel. This membership is non-transferable and non-refundable. Use of this membership by anyone other than the original purchaser is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate membership confiscation.

Acknowledgment and Acceptance

Acceptance of this membership constitutes acknowledgment and agreement to these terms and conditions. ACS reserves the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review the current terms and policies.

Agreement to Policies

By accepting this membership, you agree to abide by all rules and policies published by ACS, including but not limited to the Anime Milwaukee Code of Conduct and Weapons and Prop Policy. Violation of these policies may result in the forfeiture of your membership without refund, loss of access to Anime Milwaukee, and/or other ACS events.

Liability Waiver

ACS is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property occurring during the event. Attendees assume all risks associated with participation in Anime Milwaukee.

Refunds and Event Cancellation

All membership sales are final. ACS reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g., extreme weather, venue issues, public health emergencies). In such cases, refunds or rollovers will be provided at ACS’ discretion.

Minors and Parental Responsibility

Registration and Parental Consent

  • Attendees under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the registration process and agree to these terms and conditions on the minor's behalf.

  • By completing registration, the parent or legal guardian accepts full responsibility for the minor's conduct and safety during the event.

Supervision Requirements

  • Minors under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult (18 years or older) at all times while in convention spaces.

  • Parents or guardians of minors aged 13-17 are not required to remain onsite but are expected to ensure the minor has access to emergency contact information and understands event rules and expectations.

Special Events and Restricted Areas

  • Some events, panels, or convention areas may have age restrictions. Identification verifying the attendee’s age may be required for entry.

  • Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring minors do not attempt to access age-restricted content or areas.

Contact Information

  • Parents or guardians must provide a valid emergency contact number during registration. If the minor is found unaccompanied in violation of these terms, ACS reserves the right to contact the guardian and, if necessary, revoke the minor’s membership without refund.

Liability Disclaimer

  • ACS is not responsible for the safety or conduct of minors left unsupervised. All guardians are encouraged to discuss safety measures with minors, including meeting points, use of cell phones, and awareness of convention staff locations.

Lost Minors

  • In the event a minor is separated from their parent or guardian, they should immediately seek assistance from a member of AMKE staff or go to the Safety office. Staff will assist in locating the minor's guardian as quickly as possible.

Behavior Expectations

  • Minors are expected to adhere to the same Code of Conduct as adult attendees. Disruptive behavior, rule violations, or unsafe actions may result in membership revocation without refund. Parents or guardians may be contacted regarding such incidents.

Membership Replacement Policy

Lost or damaged membership can be replaced at the discretion of ACS for a replacement fee. Membership replacement requires proof of purchase and valid photo identification.

Weapons and Prop Policy

Weapons, props, and cosplay accessories must comply with Anime Milwaukee’s Weapons Policy, available here. All props must be inspected and tagged by the Prop Check team. Real weapons, including firearms and bladed weapons, are strictly prohibited.

Behavior and Safety

If you are unclear about any policies or have concerns regarding the behavior of convention staff, volunteers, or hotel personnel, please immediately contact the Attendee Services team or a member of the Safety team for further assistance. ACS prioritizes the safety and comfort of all attendees.

Hotel and Venue Policies

Attendees are required to follow all rules and regulations of the host venue. ACS is not responsible for disputes between attendees and hotel staff or management.

Photography and Videography Policy

Photography and videography are allowed in most public areas of Anime Milwaukee. However, attendees must obtain consent from individuals before taking their photo or video. Certain panels or events may restrict photography or recording; signs or announcements will indicate these restrictions.

Accessibility and Accommodations

Anime Milwaukee is committed to providing an inclusive experience for all attendees. Accessibility services, such as priority seating, sign language interpreters, or other reasonable accommodations, can be requested by contacting the Attendee Services team prior to con, or at the Attendee Services desk at con.

Marketing Enrollment

By purchasing this membership, you consent to enroll in marketing communications from ACS, including updates and promotional materials for Anime Milwaukee and other future events. You may opt-out of these communications at any time by unsubscribing via the link provided in our emails. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Ticket Scalping and Resale

Memberships may not be resold, transferred, or used for promotional purposes without written permission from ACS. Any membership found to have been obtained through unauthorized resale or scalping may be confiscated without refund.

Use of Image or Likeness

You grant ACS the right to use your image or likeness for promotional purposes in current and future events, including but not limited to photographs, videos, and live broadcasts taken during the event. If you do not consent to such use, you must inform the convention safety team at the time of membership collection.
