The CUT/SEW Cosplay Studio returns with a full weekend of hands-on workshops and classes designed specifically for cosplayers of all skill levels. This pop-up studio experience at Anime Milwaukee focuses on practical techniques, professional guidance, and beginner-friendly instruction in a welcoming, creative space.

Every workshop is led by industry pros like Broadway costumer Aissac.Cos, pro patternmaker Madison May, and full-time cosplayers Turtle Smithy and Malinda Chan, all of whom bring real-world experience and expert-level knowledge straight to the classroom. You’ll work with high-quality materials in a fully equipped workspace, and walk away with a finished project you can be proud of.

Workshop offerings include wig styling, sewing basics, leather tooling, tambour embroidery, fabric embossing, and armor work. Each class is intentionally kept small, fully hands-on, and taught by experienced industry professionals. All materials are included — just bring your curiosity.

And don’t miss Crafter Party, CUT/SEW’s signature late-night event – a relaxed, come-and-go space where attendees can hang out, try cozy craft kits, and connect with fellow makers. This year’s event also features our Makers Market, a free fabric and cosplay supply swap where you can take what you need and leave what you don’t – a creative solution for a post-Joann world. Whether you're stitching with friends or just vibing, it's the perfect way to unwind after hours.
