Description:

We are looking for a Video Game Room (VGR) Department Head to be responsible for organizing programs and activities in the VGR for Anime Milwaukee.  The DH will be tasked with supporting current programs, contracts, vendor relations, as well as creating and managing long term goals.  The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner.  The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Organizing tournaments to take place in the VGR space.

• Developing a budget and operating plan for the programs.

• Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.

• Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.

• Developing an evaluation method to assess department strengths and identify areas for improvement.

• Work closely with Division Directors to negotiate Audio/ Visual needs with contracted AV company.

• Negotiate with contractors and vendors that supply equipment and games for the VGR.

• Research new ideas for prize support that directly correlate with your department.

• Other responsibilities may be asked and entrusted of you during the convention year that are not outlined in this description.

Requirements:

• Interest in video games and gaming culture.

• Knowledge of the various forms of gaming (PC, console, arcade, stream, VR, LAN, etc.)

• Ability to attend monthly officer and staff meetings throughout the year.  Meetings are held in-person, through phone, and online.

• Experience managing multiple deadlines.

• Knowledge of G-Suite (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
