Guest Announcement: Non-Pop!
Non-Pop! is a collective of creatives driven to spread the arts and support our communities through events, partnerships, and outreach. With a blend of diverse dance music, captivating live painting, and eye-popping visual production, we strive to grow creativity and artistic freedom while supporting a variety of rotating nonprofit organizations within the community.
Each month, Non-Pop! selects a different nonprofit to benefit through the raising of donations and by spreading awareness for their cause - especially if we or those close to us have been particularly affected by what that organization represents. This aspect of Non-Pop! was spearheaded by co-founder Maurice “GetMoses” Pelman after building a close relationship with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society following his own triumph over the disease. Through treatments and the bone-marrow transplant that saved his life, it became imperative to not only survive, but to give back and spread as much hope and goodwill as possible - a sentiment echoed by the entire team.
What you experience at a Non-Pop! event is a blend of genre-weaving music from our DJs and musical acts, intricate paintings being created live before your eyes, showcases from various local dance crews, and a gorgeous display of visual projections bouncing from the walls all around you - all while working towards supporting those in need.
