Cherrygrove Cosplay is a Master-ranked competitive cosplayer and artist who has been sewing since she was 12 years old. Starting with stuffed animals and moving to elaborate outfits, she enjoys pushing herself out of her comfort zone and engineering clean, functional solutions to physics-defying characters. Her art and cosplay backgrounds meet through her love of creating original Gijinka designs, turning inhuman characters into wearable costumes. She specializes in detail work, with a passion for all things tedium–rhinestones, hand embroidery, handmade trims, and more. Her favorite part of cosplay is the magic of turning a 2d image into a tangible piece of clothing, quite literally bringing fantasy to reality in front of her eyes. Cherrygrove is ecstatic to be judging at Anime Milwaukee this year, and can’t wait to see what the competitors bring to the table!
