COVID-19 update: Announcing AMKE’s vaccination requirements for staff, contractors and guests

In 2022, Anime Milwaukee’s parent organization, the Entertainment and Culture Promotion Society (ECPS), will require all convention staff, volunteers, contractors, press, credentialed photographers and Guests of Honor to be vaccinated. Updates on potential vaccination requirements for attendees are pending.

We made this decision because the health and safety of our staff and the community at large is our first priority. As the largest anime convention in Wisconsin, with a $3.1 million economic impact, we also feel a sense of obligation to serve as an example.

Vaccines are safe, scientifically sound, and the fastest way we can all do our part to get out of this pandemic and save lives. AMKE staff are getting ours done to protect people we love. If you’re eligible, please do the same for your family, friends, and community.

Need help knowing where and how to get a vaccine? We’ve compiled a list of links to help you out. Still have questions? Call 211 or 877-947-2211 and speak to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Spanish, Hmong, Chinese Mandarin, Hindi, and Somali language assistance is available.

We know you’re curious about AMKE 2022’s additional COVID-19 policies. We will abide by all CDC, state, county and city requirements. Watch our social media and website for detailed information closer to the convention.

AMKE staff: if you have questions about this policy, please contact the Chief of Staff for more information.
