AMKE 2017 League of Legends 5v5 Tournament Official Rules

Anime Milwaukee will be hosting a third annual 5v5 League of Legends tournament, courtesy of World 9 Gaming! Once again the tournament will take place over the course of the convention weekend with the final matchs on Sunday.


  • Registration will be capped at 32 teams.
  • Entrance is free with your Anime Milwaukee 2017 badge.
  • Mode: 5v5 Tournament Draft
  • Map: Summoner’s Rift
  • Bans and Side: Team captains will choose a side based on a coin flip.
  • Champion & Skin Restrictions: There are no skin/champ restrictions. All are legal.
  • Win Conditions & Time Limits: There is no time limit, the game is over when the enemy surrenders or their nexus is destroyed.
  • PC’s, keyboards, mice are provided but participants may use their own peripherals.
  • Matches are a best of one in the knockout rounds. The semi-finals and finals will switch to a best of three to distill an ultimate champion!
  • Prizes will be provided in the form of RP out to 4th place.
  • Participants are (strongly) encouraged to register as a pre-made teams of 5 (along with ONE alternate if applicable) however individuals may enter and teams will be formed at con.


To pre-register please email the following with the subject line of “League of Legends Sign Up” to: videogaming@animemilwaukee.org

  • Your team name (if signing up as a team)
  • The summoner and real names of all participants along with their roles
  • Contact information for the team captain (cell phone preferred).

We will accommodate for in-person sign-ups, or PUGs, via a tournament sheet in the Video Game room. Live sign-ups are a first-come, first-served basis and close promptly at 4pm Friday Feb 19th

Since games take a varied amount of time (between 30 and 45 minutes) it is important that team captains be able to coordinate and communicate quickly with their teammates. We will send texts to inform participants of their approximate match times and allowed a 15-minute check-in time. Failure to check-in for a match will result in a forfeit.
